Angela Goodsir is an enterprise wide executive with a proven track record in transformative industry and business change with a deep understanding of strategic and commercial drivers. She has delivered several large and complex business technology transformations in the Australian media sector.
Angela is an experienced CTO and in 2018 was recognised as one of Australia’s Top 50 CIO’s. She is a well-respected media technologist, operations executive and thought leader. Angela is an Approved Advisor with the Advisory Board Centre and consults to business in strategic advisory, business model development, business scalability, business transformation and re-engineering.
Her experience has seen her lead large teams to manage digital disruption and operational complexity through harnessing and leveraging technology to drive business strategy and relentless innovation. Angela has demonstrated leadership capability, a broad strategic mindset, resilience, inquisitiveness and agitates for change and thinking outside the box. She is passionate about leading business transformation towards a digital future.

This role is an opportunity to work on a major technology transformation program requiring quality specifications to assist the successful delivery of the transformation.

Participate in requirements gathering with business stakeholders and business analysts and suggest alternate solutions to meet or improve the desired objectives based on best practices and industry solutions and influence the desired outcomes
Understand the client’s data, systems and processes to establish a complete understanding of how the required business elements work in line with the technical solutions and architecture
Interpret technical specifications from vendors and assess against business requirements
Conceptualise solutions at the logical architecture level, including input and output data, the format and frequency of data exchanges, and overall system interfaces used to exchange data
Document high-level and detailed functional specifications, data integration specifications, user stories and use cases in excellent written English

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a technical business analyst/systems analyst, liaising with middle and senior business managers across a variety of business functions, preferably within a major technology transformation change, within media or IT.
Proven data migration and systems integration experience.
Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, with the ability to bridge to gap between business and technical teams through translating business requirements into technical requirements and write clear and concise technical documentation, along with the ability to orchestrate and facilitate requirements sessions creating an environment for collaboration and communication.
Well-developed technical analytical skillset and excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented and the ability to elicit requirements to define detailed business rules and business logic.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, solve problems and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects.
Experience working with software vendors of SaaS based applications.
Proficiency in 365 tools including Teams, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio - or similar) and Azure Dev Ops, and exposure to Solution Architecture, Java, HTML, restful Web Services and mobile deployments, Unit Testing and continuous integration.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant technical discipline like Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience highly regarded.
